Welcome to Randy Jotte for U.S. Congress

Do you ever feel that Congress is more a battleground of pride than a battleground of ideas? If you are like me, you yearn for a new and different kind of leadership.

Personally, I'm tired of the politics of pride and division and believe it's time for our country to move beyond partisanship and gridlock. I yearn for a return to leaders like our founding fathers who put service and country first and self-interest last.

No one political party, individual or philosophy has a monopoly on solutions.

While I am running as a Republican, I want you to know I am first an American.

I am an independent thinker and a problem-solver. We are in this together regardless of party affiliation, and if we do not stand up and face the challenges together, our nation faces a bleak future.

I am an emergency room physician, but you don't have to be a doctor to know that our country faces a truly life-threatening moment in its history.

As a fiscal conservative, I'm disappointed by the inaction in Washington, D.C., to solve the debt crisis. As a concerned citizen, I'm shocked by the lack of thoughtful and pragmatic solutions on most critical issues.

My wife, Susan, and I brought our two wonderful adopted sons from Bolivia to America and we became a family. They are the greatest blessing we ever had. We offered them a nurturing family of love but have received so much more from them.

We also desire to offer our sons that same beacon of hope we have always known as America.

We aspire for them to grow up in a land where opportunity offers no boundaries. It's why I'm running for Congress, because we simply can never give upon on the promise of America.

I became a medical doctor to serve, and as an American, I feel strongly we need to be focused on service instead of on the next election.

If this is the kind of leadership you desire, I will need you to get involved.

I will not have a political machine behind me, but as I talk to people everywhere, I learn that they too are truly yearning for a different kind of leader.

These things clearly may not be popular to say, but it's the kind of statesman I believe Missouri should send to Congress.

I hope you will join me in this campaign, to elect a Congress that solves problems and rejects gridlock, debates ideas instead of pride, and puts the promise of America before the politics of the day.

Sincerely,

Dr. Randy Jotte
